Description

Check out this original concert poster for the Grateful Dead from November 12, 1966. The event marked the first anniversary of the band choosing the name “Grateful Dead”. The party was at the Old Cheese Factory near the North Beach and Chinatown neighborhoods. This used to be just a small Italian restaurant! Designed by Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley, this poster is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 186, plate 2.185. It measures approximately 14 1/4″ x 20″ and is in excellent condition with some tape pulls on the reverse and light toning.
