Description

This almost square handbill comes from Austin, TX. The Vulcan Gas Company put on a show billed as “Kaleidoscoptic”, with local heroes Shiva’s Headband headlining on October 17–19, 1968. Texas artist Jim Franklin did the psychedelic artwork and the repeated portrait of the band is done to great effect. Moreover, this original concert handbill has been hand signed by Shiva’s Headband founder, Spencer Perskin, in pencil at the bottom right. This practically square handbill measures 9 7/8″ x 10 1/8″. In Excellent condition, with some lower edge chipping. Otherwise, Near Mint. Scarce, signed, Texas Jim Franklin piece.
