1968 Grande Ballroom Double Postcard Featuring Big Brother & the Holding Company with Janis Joplin and The Stooges with Iggy Pop – Near Mint

Description

This is an original set of two cards attached to each other by being perforated down the middle. It was a short-lived concept by the Grande Ballroom in Detroit, MI. The image on the left features Big Brother & The Holding Co. with Janis Joplin and Thyme and is from October 15, 1968. The design was by Carl Lundgren and Donnie Dope. The card on the right features John Mayall and the Psychedelic Stooges with Iggy Pop and the dates are October 11-13, 1968. The art was done by Carl Lundgren. The words “Grande Ballroom” are printed on the reverse. The size is approximately 7 1/2″ x 8 3/8″. This is a rare Stooges item as well as part of the Grande Ballroom card set. Condition – Near Mint Minus.
