Very rare, early original concert poster from the Family Dog series. The bands are Jefferson Airplane and the Great Society featuring Grace Slick just a few months before she joined Jefferson Airplane. Fantastic design by Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley. Known as FD17 and dated July 22-23, 1966. This is very early on the psychedelic scene in San Francisco, CA. The club is the Avalon Ballroom. This poster was printed in gold and silver. This is the rarer silver version. Measures approx. 14″ X 19 3/4″. Condition – Very Good to Excellent. Has restoration in all four corners to repair tack holes, tears, and bends. Looks fantastic and would frame up beautifully.
